Welcome to Stargazing Moab! Your portal to the Universe.
Stargazing Moab is pleased to host you, family and friends on an entertaining evening of stargazing and astronomy under the internationally certified dark skies of Moab.
The perfect thing to do in Moab at night, escape the heat of the day and join us for a 2 hour program beginning shortly after sunset. Journey from the parking area to our observation site through a scale model of our solar system as the stars begin to make their appearance and full darkness sets in. Learn about the rings of Saturn, the formation of Earth's moon, or what is even up with Pluto anyway.

Settle into a personal Yogibo lounger with a beverage, blanket and binoculars as astronomical twilight fully sets and the stars of the show fully come to view. Our loungers are oversized and conform to your body, offering a zero gravity feel as you escape into space. No need to crane your neck, relax in comfort as you embark through the cosmos.

Our trained and knowledgeable astronomers will guide you on a journey through our night sky. Learn to find north and the positions of the seasonal triangles and constellations. Drawing out constellations with a high powered laser pointer, ancient mythology comes to life as we observe the celestial sphere the way our ancestors have for thousands and years.

Stargazing in Moab cannot be complete without viewing the cosmos with some help from modern technology. Through a wide array of Celestron optical and Unistellar digital telescopes, view in detail the spiral arms of galaxies and vibrant colors in nebulae. Observe the moons of Jupiter or peer up close at the craters of our own moon. With all telescopes moving throughout the evening you'll have multiple chances to view many astronomical wonders up close.

End your stargazing experience in Moab with a moment of perspective and reflection on the vast scale of space and time. Leave the world behind as you find a sense of place and connection to Earth and humanity that will stay with you forever. We hope you will join us for an evening of cosmic exploration under dark, desert skies!
